I suppose it’s because of the iPad mini’s small size, but the market hasn’t seemed to flood with a gazillion keyboard cases for it.  Some of the cases that I’ve seen have been more like Apple’s Smart Cover in design, which I much prefer to those typical folio cases.  ZAGG has a Smart Cover-style Bluetooth keyboard for the iPad mini.  The iPad mini Cover is available in black or white/silver to match your iPad mini.  ZAGG says it’s about 0.25″ thick (14% thinner than other keyboards for the mini), and has 30% more typing space than other keyboards. The case slides on over the side where the Smart Cover normally attaches, and it stays on while you are typing.  Typing angles are adjustable up to 135 degrees, and you can even fold the cover completely to the back of the iPad mini when you want to read or surf.  The cover has magnets that trigger the mini’s sleep/wake functions, and it has a backlit keyboard (seven colors and brightness functions) and iPad function keys.  The rechargeable battery gives you up to three months of typical 2 hours/day use between charges, but using backlighting will require more frequent charges.  The ZAGG iPad mini Cover is available from ZAGG now for $99.99.
